Lovely Urban Jungle

24. JUNI 2019 VON TINI

Wanna play my favorite game?

Let´s go get lost in an urban jungle!

A perfect location

I’m in love with real-world adventure games. My favorite one can be played for hours all by myself, never bored nor lonesome. You could play it in many cities, but I prefer the old town of Palma de Mallorca, because it’s got ideal conditions. The so-called „Casco Antiguo“ is enclosed by the „Avenidas“, which are kind of a multilane ring road. Crossing the avenidas at any point is where the game starts.

What are the rules?

Once you have bravely crossed the avenidas, there is only one rule to follow: Never walk a familiar road. If you feel like knowing where you are must instantly choose the next unknown „calle“. Our aim is to get lost and loose ourselves in the tangle of small lanes. You can’t get lost forever because you will immediately recognize when you leave the playing field by hitting one of the broad avenidas.

Switch off your mobile and eyes wide open!

Now let´s enjoy our spirit of discovery and all the hidden secrets on our odyssey. And there a many of them, like small library vintage cafes, old city palazzos, hidden gardens, graffiti art and other treasures. This old town is full of them and it invites you to generously indulge in those hidden gems. Be silent and listen to the whisper of the old walls. Don´t cheat on yourself and squint with one eye on your cell phone. Only use it for pictures – there’s an abundance of motifs….

The countless architectural pearls, which one cannot overlook.

Giant imaginative streetart along with tiny graffitis, which only open up to you when you take a close look.

The secret gardens in old town

Palma has always been a prosperous place. A wonderful luxurious remnant are the ancient courtyards of former city mansions, which often can be seen from the outside. Some of them are private, but many of these gems belong to hotels and cafes and you can drop by, take a little break and rest your feet. Frankly, who wants to skip the high heels in the evening?

A hard working explorer needs a break

One of the best things on our urban jungle trail are all those tempting little cafes and tapa bars everywhere. When its getting harder and harder to resist you should pamper yourself with some cava or delicious ice coffee. Decision-making is a hard job at that point, but you are the master of your game. So why not have a second break?

Who said shopping is not allowed?

After we have strengthened ourselves we’re back on track. And there is this inner voice calling „shopping!“ But better put this „play extra“ to the end of your game unless you go for home delivery. Handy jungle prey is not the problem of a real conquerer…

Some extraordinary ideas for interior furnishings. And yes, the bathtub is absolutely vintage!

‚Winners only‘ in the getting-lost game

Every single corner we discovered feels like ours. We captured the place with all our senses and, of course, with our grousing feet. But remember? Indiana Jane loves ballerinas. And did I mention she loves taxis as well? It doesn’t cost a fortune in Palma to be generous to yourself, enter a cab at any point of the city and finish the game. Just have the address at hand, where your beautiful hotel rooftop pool is waiting for you. Oops, wait, have you bought a bikini?

Long time reader, first time commenter — so, thought I’d drop a
comment.. — and at the same time ask for a
    favor.

Your wordpress site is very simplistic – hope you don’t
mind me asking what theme you’re using? (and don’t mind if I steal it?

    :P)

I just launched my small businesses site –also built in wordpress like yours– but the theme
slows (!) the site down quite a bit.

In case you have a minute, you can find it by searching for „royal cbd“
on Google (would appreciate any feedback)

Keep up the good work– and take care of yourself during the coronavirus scare!

In case you have a minute, you can find it by searching for „royal cbd“ on Google (would appreciate any

Keep up the good work– and hope you all take care of yourself during the coronavirus scare!
